About Amanda “AWOS” Lippert

Amanda is a board-certified Aerospace Physiologist and Fellow of the Aerospace Medical Association. She has 25+ years’ experience in aerospace medicine & physiology, and aviation mishap investigation. She has served as the sole Aeromedical Safety Officer for high-functioning teams such as Naval Aviation’s developmental flight test community and the Marine Corps’ graduate-level aviation weapons school, as well as pioneering a 2-year Fellowship with NASA at Johnson Space Center. She has authored work in a variety of aerospace medicine & human performance publications with emphasis in operational physiology, spatial disorientation, survival training, emergency egress, and modeling crew performance for long-duration spaceflight. She has two combat deployments aboard aircraft carriers, and over 1,200 flight hours in more than 22 T/M/S aircraft.
